Seat Top - The Seat Top is usually made from one piece, and screws on to the Leg and Footrest part using the screws/nuts and bolts provided.
Leg and Footrest - This part includes a lever that sits under the seat when built. The lever touches the button on the end of the Gas-lift Leg which allows the stool to be raised and lowered.
Black Cap - Remove this part. This helps prevent the gas leg popping up in transit.
Gas-lift Leg - The Gas-lift Leg helps you adjust the height of your bar stool. The join between the Gas-lift Leg and the Leg and Footrest part is usually where the bar stool is able to rotate.
Collar - The Collar simply fits inbetween the Leg and the Base to hide the join.
Base - The Base is commonly about as wide as the seat top. The Base has to have a relatively large surface area to give maximum stability.
