Nucleation

Glossary of Terms

Nucleation is the process of gas bubbles forming in liquids, most commonly produced after the pressure is released from a pressurised container, such as a champagne bottle. Nucleation occurs naturally in carbonated beverages and can be maintained for longer with the use of a glass with a nucleated base.
