A wine funnel is a conical wide mouthed and narrow stemmed pipe which is used for pouring wine from a bottle into a decanter. This helps prevent spillages and lets the wine oxidise. Wine funnels can be made from metal, glass or plastic. A wine aerator is a specially designed wine funnel which is optimised for aerating wine.
