Bar tongs come in two main designs; a solid piece of material with a bend in the middle or two separate arms connected by a spring hinge. Ice tongs tend to be quite small as they are designed to pick up single ice cubes. Many pairs of tongs are multipurpose and can be used to pick up cocktail garnishes and other ingredients.
